Scope of Services
Every engagement is scoped in writing before work begins — a visibility audit, Google Business Profile management, local SEO, website design and development, or a combination. If a request falls outside that agreed scope, it's quoted and approved separately before we start on it.
Acceptance of Deliverables
Once something is delivered, you have seven calendar days to flag any specific concerns in writing. After that window, the deliverable is considered complete — this keeps projects from staying open-ended indefinitely.
Client Participation
Visibility results depend on both sides doing their part. Clients are expected to provide timely access, content, and feedback, and — for GBP-focused engagements — to actively request reviews and supply fresh photos on a regular basis. Delays on the client's side don't count against the work delivered.
Ownership & Handoff
During an active engagement, hosting, deployment, and related accounts may be managed under SVL while we build and optimize. Once all invoices are paid in full, you receive full, documented ownership and access to everything — credentials, assets, and admin rights.
If a client requests an early handoff, that marks the engagement as complete as of that date. Ongoing management and support end at that point, regardless of remaining optimization goals.
Payment
- Work is billed as a fixed project rate, hourly rate, or monthly retainer, defined per engagement
- Payment is due before new work begins
- Hourly or out-of-scope work is billed in one-hour minimum increments
- Barter arrangements are documented in writing with a defined term, value, and deliverables for both sides
- Deliverables and account access are released once outstanding invoices are paid in full
No Guarantee of Results
We don't guarantee specific rankings, client counts, or revenue outcomes. Google's algorithm is outside anyone's control, and results depend on market competition and how consistently a client participates. Past client results are illustrative, not a promise of the same outcome.
Communication
All communication happens over text or email. This keeps everything documented and easy to reference for both sides. In-person meetings aren't part of standard service unless arranged in advance.
Training & Support
Our work is done for you, not as a walkthrough of how to do it yourself. Platform training or how-to coaching is available as a separate, paid service — just ask.
Content You Provide
Any photos, logos, or written material you give us to use, you confirm you actually have the rights to. This protects both of us if something turns out to be borrowed from somewhere it shouldn't have been.
Platform Safety
For Google Business Profile management, we follow platform-safe pacing and content practices to protect your listing — including limits on how frequently changes are made and keeping posts educational rather than promotional, in line with Google's own guidelines.
Circumstances Outside Our Control
Neither of us is on the hook for delays caused by things like third-party outages, platform policy changes, natural disasters, or other events genuinely outside our control. Work resumes as soon as reasonably possible once the disruption clears.
If a Disagreement Comes Up
We'd rather resolve things directly. Our agreement calls for written notice and a chance to fix any issue before anything moves toward formal dispute channels — good-faith conversation first, always.
Case Studies
Results from client engagements may be used, anonymized or with consent, as case studies or portfolio material for SVL's own marketing.
Signing
Agreements can be signed electronically — a typed name and confirmation over email carries the same weight as a handwritten signature.
This page is a plain-language summary for general reference. Every client signs a complete written agreement before work begins, which governs the engagement in full and includes additional terms not detailed here.
